Texans with pregnancy Medicaid lose their health insurance just 60 days after childbirth. That's just not enough time.
House Bill 12 by Rep. Toni Rose would allow Texans to stay on pregnancy Medicaid for a full year. That means access to medications, mental health care, and much more. In fact, it's the top recommendation by our Maternal Mortality and Morbidity Review Committee to prevent moms from dying—especially our Black moms. This bill still needs your support to get through the legislative process.
