Thank you to all participants and co-hosts for helping us make our 2021 MedEx4TX Advocacy Day a success! We knew it was a lot to pull off in just a few days after a harrowing, once-in-a-generation disaster, and we truly appreciate your support.
We have a lot to celebrate:
- More than 1000 people registered and participated
- About 350 people tuned in live for our virtual rally
- Dozens of participants joined our actions throughout the day:
- Our #MedEx4TX hashtag saw at least 635 tweets just on March 5th.
- Dozens of Texans called Gov. Abbott, Lt. Gov Patrick, and Speaker Phelan.
- Two dozen advocates signed up for group legislative visits with key offices.
- Most of these individuals spoke to how state leaders' inaction personally impacted them or to the impact it had on a loved one or community member.
Together, we heard from elected officials, health service providers, business and faith leaders, and impacted Texans, and joined them to call on the legislature to expand Medicaid. Your voice has power, and together we’re making a difference.
Thank you again for joining us to take a huge step forward in building momentum for healthcare expansion in Texas this session.

2 p.m. - 4 p.m. Group Legislative Visits
Sign up to speak with key Texas House and Senate offices in virtual visits to let them know why Medicaid expansion is so crucial to you. We also encourage you to schedule your own office visits during this time. ***Note: Group visits require separate registration through the link above.
