Our grandson was born with a heart defect requiring two surgeries in his 1st year that left one of his vocal chords damaged. Cuts to Medicaid ended the therapies he needs to learn to talk correctly. This has severely impacted his success in school; he is now in 2nd grade and we’re told that if significant progress isn’t made in the next year this could have a severely negative effect on his life. Please expand Medicaid so that, even if it’s too late for him, other children like him won’t have this happen and will be able to thrive. We are counting on you to make this happen for the children of Texas.
