To build a healthcare system that works for people, we want to partner with you to share your healthcare experiences.
Our leaders need to hear directly from you about what you're experiencing when it comes to health care. Why? They have the ability to write laws that could create a healthcare system to work for you, not against you.
Here's how it works:
Don’t think you have a story to share?
If you struggle to pay for doctor visits, treatment or prescriptions, you have a story. If you do have health coverage, we want to hear how it’s made a difference for you! SOIT believes there is no story too small, and you do not need to be “in crisis” to have an important story to share.
Are you worried you do not have the experience or expertise to speak up?
Not a problem. We will prepare and support you in the process. You only have to be passionate about being a voice for your community.
Ways to share
There’s something for everyone! Here are four common ways to share your voice and power:
- Written
- Social Media / Video
- Photo with quotes
- Advocacy events
Other opportunities include speaking to reporters, legislators, and/or sharing anonymously.
Location
To achieve a system that works for all of us, we need all Texans with us. It doesn’t matter where you live in Texas. Rural, urban, big or small town, we would love to connect and learn about your health experience.
