HEALTHCARE CAN’T WAIT

The South has the nation’s highest uninsured rates, overwhelming rates of poverty, chronic health conditions, and racial health inequities. Southerners are organizing to show the nation that we can unite to ensure affordable healthcare for our people, and fight the legacy of slavery and racial injustice that has plagued our region. We are bringing our collective power together through shared vigils, storytelling, and petitions.
#South4MedEx Vigil with Rev. Dr. William Barber and Stacey Abrams

October 1, 2020

As of October, 1, 2020, more than 200,000 Americans have died from COVID-19 and tens of thousands of Southerners have died from not expanding Medicaid. We invite you to join us for this action of remembrance to honor the lives of people who have suffered from being uninsured.
