Take Racism Out of Healthcare Town Hall

Watch our town hall from July 31 on Facebook Live.

For years we have heard about how our system inflicts poor access to medical care on Black and Brown communities. We talk about the price of healthcare and how unaffordable it is for Black and Brown families. We talk about how maternal mortality rates are rising in communities of color, particularly among Black women.

But have you ever asked yourself why?

Being Black or Brown puts us at a higher risk of being dismissed, incorrectly treated or getting the wrong diagnosis or prognosis, regardless of income. The system isn’t broken. It is working the way it was designed to work. Join us in a conversation to talk about the racial bias that still exists within the healthcare system, and what we can do to help take racism out of healthcare!
